Level 2 Incident Management Course
The Level 2 Incident Management Course is a five-day in-class course with post course assessments required to achieve competency. It has been developed for organisations that require their personnel to:
This course comprises four units within the Public Safety Training Package which are all updated new units superseding the old ones as of 15 July 2019 from the update to the Public Safety Training Package. The new units are as follows:
It includes competencies required to control a multi-team response to an incident and perform the roles of an Incident Controller, Planning Officer, Logistics Officers and Operations Officer at a Level 2 Incident. Level 2 incidents are complex either in size, resources or risk. They are characterised by the need for deployment of resources beyond initial response OR sectorisation of the incident OR establishment of functional sections due to the levels of complexity (e.g. operations and planning) OR a combination of the above. This course is not fire-specific.
Training to deliver and assess these individual units of competency, or a combination of these units, can also be achieved. Please contact FutureWest Institute to discuss your requirements.
Course availability: In-class, client on-site, distance learning, RPL

- be informed of the Incident Management Team’s underpinning principles and processes.
