Control a Level 2 Incident Course

The Control a Level 2 Incident Course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to control a multi-team response to an incident, to undertake a scene assessment, and to plan and implement an operational response and post-response activities. Level 2 incidents are complex either in size, resources or risk. They are characterised by the need for deployment of resources beyond initial response, or sectorisation of the incident, or establishment of functional sections due to the levels of complexity (eg operations and planning) or a combination of the above.
The course has been developed for personnel required to:
• perform the role of an Incident Controller within an Incident Management Team or assist in a support capacity; and/or
• be informed of the Incident Management Team’s underpinning principles and processes.
This course consists of one nationally recognised unit of competency. The course is not fire-specific.
This course comprises one unit within the Public Safety Training Package:
The duration of this training course is 2 consecutive days in a classroom delivery (face-to-face). Please note there will be a number of assessments which will need to be completed in-class and post course.
Course availability: In-class, client on-site, RPL
